CAEHR
CAEHR is a research project that uses the example of various cardiovascular diseases to demonstrate how digitalisation in medicine can improve the success of everyday care.
The aim is to collect structured data according to uniform standard at all points of the medical care system and use it throughout the care chain to make more accurate predictions about the course of the disease, improve treatment and implement preventive measures more effectively.
The Würzburg model project for the acute care of stroke patients will examine and improve communication between the emergency services, regional hospitals and stroke centres in Würzburg.
The time-critical provision of stroke diagnosis and treatment will be improved through better interfaces between the emergency services and Würzburg University Hospital.
A comprehensive evaluation concept will be implemented, covering the perspectives of different stakeholders, including patients, care providers and researchers as well as the healthcare system. The evaluation process will be accompanied by a multidisciplinary sounding board composed of representatives from different disciplines. The impact of CAEHR will be measured using a set of evidence-based Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), both UC-specific and cross-UC, selected in a standardised way.
