Else Kröner-Fresenius Symposia
The symposia of the Else Kröner-Fresenius Research College TWINSIGHT follow a long tradition of immunological symposia in Würzburg and are organised with the assistance of the fellows of the TWINSIGHT Research College.
The TWINSIGHT collegium enables six selected fellows from different medical fields to receive optimised training in their respective special field with a focus on clinical immunology. In addition, the fellows benefit from a structured training programme that includes an 18-month research rotation outside their own clinic, integration into clinical trials, training courses and intensive mentoring. The aim is to establish a better link between basic immunology and the clinical application of new immunotherapeutic approaches.
As part of the programme, the fellows are involved in the organisation of two symposia entitled "Translational Immunology - From Target to Therapy", which aim to promote networking between the fellows and leading representatives of translational immunology research from around the world, as well as other clinician scientists, and to gain valuable experience in organising a major scientific event.
After the successful 1st TWINSIGHT Symposium on 20 October 2021, the international Else Kröner Symposium of the TWINSIGHT research college entitled "Translational Immunology - From Target to Therapy VII" took place on 14 and 15 July 2022 in the historic Juliusspital in Würzburg, which was also very well received. Further information and impressions can be found under News as well as under the link to Symposium 2022 and Symposium 2021 on the right-hand side.
We are pleased to invite you to the already 8th Else Kröner Symposium in Würzburg on June 29 and 30, 2023. For more information, please click on the link "Symposium 2023".
