During my studies at the University of Würzburg, I became fascinated in the topic of behavioral neuroscience/neuroethology with a focus on social insects. In my subsequent PhD- (MPI Radolfzell/University of Konstanz) and post-doc project (University of Copenhagen), I investigated the sensory system and the brain of ants on different levels spanning from molecular and physiological approaches to anatomical investigations. Throughout my time at the different institutions, I became more and more enthusiastic about teaching, supervision and mentoring. Thus, I decided to apply for a job that gives me the opportunity to support the upcoming generation of scientists. And here I am: Coordinating the MSc “Translational Neuroscience” and taking care for an excellent and inspiring work environment for both, students and PIs.
