NUKLEUS - ECU
NUKLEUS vernetzt Ärztinnen und Ärzte und Forscherinnen und Forscher bundesweit und bietet eine Kooperations- und Forschungsplattform des Netzwerks Universitätsmedizin.
NUKLEUS ermöglicht die bundesweite Planung, Durchführung und Auswertung von großangelegten klinischen und epidemiologischen Studien - durch gemeinsame Standards, eine funktionierende Forschungsinfrastruktur und qualitätsgesicherte Forschungsdatenbanken.
Die Epidemiology Core Unit (ECU) ist die klinisch-epidemiologische Methodenplattform der NUM Klinischen Epidemiologie und Studienplattform (NUKLEUS). Sie besteht aus einem interdisziplinäres Team von Expert:innen aus den Bereichen Epidemiologie, Public Health, Biometrie, klinische Medizin, Psychologie und Informatik. Die Expert:innen sind auf verschiedene Standorte in Deutschland verteilt. Koordiniert wird die ECU vom Institut für klinische Epidemiologie und Biometrie (IKE-B) an der Julius Maximilian Universität Würzburg und Institut für medizinische Datenwissenschaft (ImDS) an der Uniklinikum Würzburg.
Die ECU unterstützt Forscherinnen und Forscher innerhalb der NUM Forschungsinfrastruktur durch ein breites Spektrum an Fachwissen und praktischer Erfahrung und bietet ihnen methodische Beratung in allen Phasen ihrer Projekte an, von der Studienplanung bis zur finalen Datenauswertung.
Die methodische Beratung erstreckt sich auf, die Beratung zu klinisch epidemiologischen Studien, genetische epidemiologische Studien, Verwendung von PROMs, Nutzbarmachung und Linkage von NUM externen versorgungsnahen Daten (eVeDa) sowie die spezielle Beratung bei Studien mit pädiatrischen Teilnehmer:innen (Kira-net/Methodentoolbox).
