Esther Creemers
Esther Creemers is appointed as an Assistant Professor at the department of Experimental Cardiology at the Amsterdam UMC, location AMC. She has received her PhD in life sciences in 2000 at the University of Maastricht and was a postdoctoral fellow at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, from 2002-2006. In her current position at the AMC, she studies specific facets of RNA biology, such as alternative splicing, circular RNA formation and the function of RNA binding proteins in the setting of heart failure. By combining molecular biological techniques, bioinformatics, mouse genetics and physiological cardiac phenotyping she analyzes the function of genes related to RNA processing in the heart.
