Ingo Hilgendorf
Ingo Hilgendorf was recently appointed Heisenberg-Professor for Immunocardioloy at Germany’s largest University Heart Center at Freiburg-Bad Krozingen, where he works as an interventional cardiologist and attending physician. Following his postdoctoral training at the Swirski Lab, MGH Center for Systems Biology, Boston, MA, USA, he established his own research group in Freiburg in 2014, studying the role of the innate and adaptive immune system in cardiovascular disease and how modulation of the immune response affects disease outcome.
